what a great start to the LAST SIX WEEKS of the semester!

anywayys, it's prolly gonna be an interesting week.

it's quite a slack week with some lessons cancelled. yay! and there's OPENHOUSE too! not to mention we've got FRIDAY free, well hopefullyyy?

not looking forward to chionging all the projects though :/

to celebrate the end of the CTs, we went to bugis and did some shopping. plus, i was yilei's "PA-of-the-day"

after that, had steamboat at bugis.

ohh, the mantous are simply delicious! REALLY! we ate like 8 plus plates- there were six of us i think? i don't mind going back there to eat again, but just the mantous maybe? HAHA, no more experimenting with food, i promise (:

that was a friday i think?

the next day, i went for the ramakrishnan post-yep.

it was kind of boring and i was extremely irritated, prolly lack of sleep?

went to oriole cafe & bar with juju, valentia, farhanah, tkb. had the fish and chips.

IT WAS HUGE. managed to finish it with the help of juju, val, tkb.

i think i prefer the beef check pasta better, the portion size is more reasonable. nevertheless, the food was great!

went to orchard. quite crowded and we watched planet 51, we didn't have much choice though. it's between that and twilight. THANKS LISA, btw. too bad i didn't stay on to watch avatar, i heard it was not bad, and quite bad. i'm not sure what to believe.

oh yes, max and family came for a visit. so yeahh, quite interestingg. although the bbq was a fiasco anyways, at least i think so? whoever's heard of using candles to light, heat up and burn the charcoal anyways? and awfully chocolate rocks, btw (:

it was super chaotic on monday.
somehow, everything is set to happen on monday, which makes me feel very frustrated, somehow.

it's always like this when i've got some kind of i-cannot-miss-this-event-or-whatever thing.

went for the cambodia briefing instead of dip plus.
it was kinda boring but oh wells. i hope we have fun there. and we prob will.

didn't go back to my schools because most of my friends are mugging for their prelims right now.
but i sort of went about my usual routine, and msged everyone(teachers i mean). HAHA.

wanted to go straight to meet lisa, sl, and wt.
but had to go back to send a quick email first. and answer a couple of phone calls which were quite urgent.

finally found them at subway.
speaking of which, hougang mall changed alot. i haven't been there since like, kay, last year maybe?
i was glad to visit the library though. i found a couple of stuff that i was dying to read.

they were mugging maths.
OH. I MISS MATHS. just hated the trigo parts, and now the bstats parts too.
glad that i haven't forgot my maths, binomial theorem, similar triangles and stuff. all thanks to mrs thang (:
i suddenly felt like doing maths, so i helped them with this diagram question. it was FUN.
seriously i don't mind having a job that involves coming up with the working of maths questions, when the answer is given of course! shi ling had that, but she found it boring after doing repetitive qns for some time.

i think i failed mmb.
NO! i'm very sure i failed mmb.

been chiong-ing for a week.
it's been a crazy time.
it's funny in a way, each paper that we took seemed to get harder and harder.
sadly, i blanked out in mmb. i just lost everything related to mmb.

that's life, sometimes.
you gain some stuff, and you lose some too.

i swear that people i know are getting more random each year.
gibson uploaded the 5R photo on FB and tagged ppl, and this led to like 700 comments(and counting!), and major canned ham.
i don't rmb most ppl i guess. since i only knew them for one year.
i find it extremely hard to read all the comments, though it's just random stuff.

6A still rocks! at least we still meet up, even if it's like once in a blue moon.
and the blue moon's coming! at least after the jc peeps' a levels.

and it just doesn't seem like it's the hols now, even though exams are over.

it's been crazy, really, tring to rmb so much stuff in a limited time.

i'm currently stuck on ccta. might move over to mmb sometime soon.

ndp ytd was quite different from ndps of other years.
i didn't really like the way they mixed all the songs together, though this year's theme songs sounds pretty good. heh.

KK hospital: went for field trip(CCTA), it was okayy i guess?
it would be nice to work there i think. hmmms. but i haven't exactly decided if i want local/regional/non-regional. all of them sounds cool. i think it's okayy to get ccta for fyp. just don't get immuno :/
i can't understand half the stuff, but it's much better now, cause i'm revising. HAHAS!

Golly.
I finally managed to complete my reflections for Projj Immuno.
YAY!!
I almost wanted to give up yepps, because I lost all my answers when my Internet DC-ed.
The questions were all open-ended and it took a long time to answer all the questions.

And, all the presentations for last week is finally over.
Strangely, most of my presentations had some minor screw-ups, mostly caused by me :/

HAHAS. it's quite funny, in retrospective.
I seriously don't know why we must have Presentations, but whatever.

Hmmmms.
It was quite fun at the Parents' Forum ~~today~~ yesterday.
Yeahh. Mavis and I were at the Microbio lab, explaining Microbio stuff, along with, Julianty, Melicia, Shelia, and Fanny.
I guess we had fun, in a way.

I was explaining about the colony counter, and sometimes about the biochemical tests.
It's the set of coloured thingum that we did yesterday. I remembered that ours was Serratia marcescens. OH. It changed colour. I mean it looked different from when we saw it on Friday.
I totally forgot to take a picture of it. I guess we were all too HUNGRY, so we rushed off to eat the food.

HAHAS.
We met Mrs Chan, plus all the other LSCT lecturers that we know.
It was really funny, we were trying to get lifts from the lecturers, so five/six of us went around asking them, only those that we know i mean.
And I discovered that quite alot live in the north side, and it's kinda too late to realise but anyways.

I know this sounds really crazy, I only realised it ~~today~~ yesterday.
I think Mrs Chan is quite nice. *don't get too shocked kayys*

Yeahh.
We were chatting to her about our batch-past and present. "We" refering to Benedict, Julianty and I.
And it turned out to be quite interesting, the conversation I mean.
I was kinda surprised when she remembered us(our classes).

i think it's a rather touchy subject but anyways.

OH OH. sidetrack for a while, i MISSED the SOLAR ECLIPSE TODAYYYY. GRRRRR. i know we don't have it in Singapore but you know, it's so cool to be able to see one.

back to people politics, it's amazing how people can think in such complicated ways.
i was wondering what if everyone had hidden meanings when they talk, that must be totally crazy.
i can't believe there's so much people politics around, even before we get to work.
i just can't imagine how people actually survive in this kind of environment.
apparently the need to succeed is like survival instincts or whatever, but that makes us sound like some monsters :/

MMB was quite fun, as usual.
I was so blurr again. I brought CCTA lab manual instead of the MMB one :/
It was really late since i was doing the DBG slides and I was super tired the night before mmb prac mah. So I just reached out and grabbed the book with pictures on it. HAHAS.

I'm trying to get used to writing my posts properly. I used to just type in my posts without using caps when i need too. I'm gonna write in complete sentences too, just to try it out for a couple of posts or so. Yupps.

Ohh.
I watched Harry Potter on Friday, at Cineleisure.
I arrived quite early and got pretty hungry, so I started on the buffet without waiting for my brothers and my mum. Oops. Anyways, the food was damn YUMMYYYYY!

The movie was not that good, I think? I prefer the book much better. They(movie makers) changed alot of stuff. And I think it's quite hard to understand unless you read the book alrd. Haha yupps. My mum didn't really understand what was going on, so we spent lots of time trying to explain stuff to her after the movie.

I guess this may be one reason why I don't really like to watch movies. Another is that I like to imagine what the characters look like. Watching movies tend to ruin the image of the characters that I have. Next, is the cost of movie-watching. Yeahh. Though this is not really counted since tickets are quite cheap for students these days. But then, somehow, movie-watching never ever fits into my schedule, because there's a certain time period for student discounts. And I think my house's TV has quite a good screen and the home theatere system is okay too. Hahas.

The plus points about movie-watching is that you can watch with friends. And you don't have to wait to watch it, unlike buying DVDs. But if I go China on a regular basis, I don't mind not going to the cinema, unless of course, there's more people going. Yupps.

It's gonna be a very busy week ahead. And I haven't started on IMMUNO. I haven't any idea how my brain works. I can't seem to push it to work and be more productive when it's really needed. I wish I could be as productive as I was when I was rushing out the IMMUNO slides on Thursday but oh wells. I think the test is gonna be so screwed.

And there's not one, but FOUR presentations this week. Oh mann.

today was a really WET day.
almost didn't wake up this morning cause the sky was still quite dark. but luckily, my internal alarm system alerted me that something was wrong. hahas.

had a great time playing bridge and tai ti today with the rest.
it was reallyyyy FUN.
I LOVE CARD GAMES; not all but some. haha. at least the ones i know how to play. hmmms. i guessed i've changed pretty much since i came to poly. i didn't know how to play a single card game then lahh. murderer is NOT COUNTED. thanks to all my shifus :D
it's fun to see how peoples' minds work and watch their reactions to diff. situations.
i really have a slow reaction to stuff happening around me, i wonder how do i improve it? i wanna beat people at STRESS.

we dissected the mousies today-i didn't though, i'm afraid of blood, of needles, and i'm afraid that the mouse will jerk when i'm cutting it, even though it's supposed to be dead alrd.
but anyways, it looked pretty okayy. NO BLOOD or anything, unless you decide to do crazy things to the poor mousies. you knoww.

prac ended real late today.
anyway, we went to shop for formal clothes with yilei. haha, advisors only lahh. and did major window shopping. OMG. i wanna go there to shop. the prices are simply so attractive.

the food at ABC market is super YUMMY.

i love the 鱼片米粉汤
the soup's really good. it's not salty, not oily and i could drink all the soup without feeling tired of it. i think it could compare to the famous crab beehoon soup that daddy brought us to on sundayyy. the super famous one yeahh. we queued for bout an hour to get seats, but still damn yummy, and damn expensive too.

and the banana milkshake is simply awesome.

it's a pity i couldn't finish it though. drank too much soup alrd, hahas. but the portion was quite large and really worth it for the price.

i'd love to go back there to eat all the yummy food again.

feeling quite sian, i explored FB.
played games, read notes.

zuyao's note about his days at xinmin made me recall my times there as well.

from my friends there,to the food, teachers, cca, building, and blahblah.

i guess these are stuff that i'll prob not forget for the rest of my life.

most of the food stalls at xinmin rocks.
i particularly liked the potluck, noodles, vegetarian stall, plus the malay stall.
totally YUMMYYYY!
chicken rice chili from the malay stall is really damn good. i rmb that it was caroline who intro-ed the malay stall to me. usually, i prefer to eat chinese food in schh.
haha, and lisa and co. likes the noodles stall.
anyway, everything was YUMMY and CHEAP.
much cheaper than np food anyway. and xinmin food's totally much nicer.

OHH. i want np canteen ONE backk.
i miss the chicken rice. now, i have to sim if i wanna eat nice 鸡饭

and teachers, i guess i would miss mrs seetoh, mr pah, mrs thang most for sec 3 & 4.
they made their subjects really much much more interesting.
others include miss yap, miss ng, mrs ng, yeahhh.
i guess we were closer to mrs seetoh, since we went to her house to visit after we left the schh a couple of times.

i LOVE maths, really.
but mrs chan made me hate biostats :/

had lots of great times in ccas too.

so far the weather in bj is still kind of cold.

well, i mean FREEZING!!!

arrived in bj sat morning.

yep yep. visited forbidden city and the MZD memorial place.

the security is so high at his body lahh, which is strange.

forbidden city was GREAT.

i didn't know that it was so big. even the emperor then would have a hard time walking around the whole place.

i mean who would wanna steal his body??

dinner was great. peking duck!

feel like eating it again. kind of diff. from the sg kind anywayy.

went to buy more winter clothing cause, well, we weren't wearing thick enough.

but it was too late alrd. the sun sets at 5 there and everyone was leaving for home.

shops started to close, and we didn't manage to buy much :/

next day, which is ytd, we went to loads of places.

like this 13 tombs of the ming dynasty place, and the temple nearby.

cool. i never really prayed properly before since i'm a freethinker. it has been a rather interesting experience i guess.

oh yeahh. went to the great wall too. winds were very strong and i couldn't stand up straight. didn't really climb much as it was the coldest day ever. i think the temp. reached a record high in bj.

we ALMOST went skiing. but there was too little snow, and the weather was too cold that not much people went, and the place didn't really bother to man-make some snow.

OH WELLS.

visited old bj as well. it was okayy lahh. it's the kind of place that showed those olden times and stuff, you know, before they started modernizing everything. heard that some shows were filmed there too.

just went to buy new winter gloves and shoes because we couldn't find any on sat.
